NFL Whistleblower Reports Execs 'Livid' At Amount Of Present Fathers At The Draft

The 2022 NFL Draft has come and gone and history has once again been made. For the first time in decades, only one quarterback was drafted in the first two rounds. For the first time ever, we didn’t see a running back or tight end drafted in the first two rounds. If that wasn’t enough, in historical fashion, we saw a large number of fathers present.

You read correctly. There were a surprising number of fathers around at the draft. From the first overall pick Travon Walker celebrating with his father at home, right on down to Drake London and his father in the green room showing off their secret handshake. We saw a lot of heartwarming moments but the truth is, the NFL could not be more upset.

Anonymous sources around the league suggest Roger Goodell and others in the NFL offices on Park Avenue are pretty angry with how many of the draftees' parents were around. When asked about why they felt this way, an unnamed source said, “How are these guys supposed to be motivated? If it wasn’t for struggling single parents, we’d have a league full of trauma-less men with nothing to prove.”

In years past, fans across the nation would watch these young men achieve their dreams and become multi-millionaires, surrounded by their families and loved ones. We’d watch mothers, sisters, girlfriends, wives and cousins shed tears of joy on national television but there was always something missing. Oftentimes, it was a father.

The NFL and ESPN really leaned into the tragic stories in 2020 and received plenty of criticism for it. After the Dallas Cowboys selected Trevon Diggs, ESPN was quick to point out that his father Aron died in 2008 due to heart failure. When asked to comment on the Diggs fiasco, our source responded via text saying, “Its not like we killed him ourselves lol…plus, it wasn’t just dads”.

Fast forward to the 2022 NFL Draft and every draftee seems to come from a happy home. Several players in this year’s draft are sons of former NFL players, like Tyler Vrabel (son of Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel) and Kair Elam (son of former Jet Abram Elam) which begs the question: do they come from even happier homes? The league is worried that this trend will lead to subpar play. One source believes the league will get softer and people will worry about CTE more.

“It’s called the blindside, not the emotional supportive side," said one exec already planning the '23 draft. "These fathers gotta go!"
