Scientists Discover Perfect Temperature To Leave Child Unattended In Car

ORLANDO, FL—As a response to many children dying due to being left alone in hot cars, scientists have discovered the optimal temperature to abandon your kid in your vehicle.

“Every summer, there are children dying from heat stroke as a result of being left or forgotten inside cars," explains lead researcher Olivia Myers. "To avoid this tragedy as much as possible, we have discovered the ideal range to neglect your child so that we as adults can do more important things like attending a job interview or shopping."

To better investigate this further, the researchers have simulated the scenario by placing dogs inside a mid-size sedan during the summer in empty parking lots.

“We’ve found that the Labrador is the best dog as far as matching body conditions with toddlers of similar ages,” states researcher Landon Thompson. “After about 600 of these experiments with labradors ages 2-7, what we’ve learned is that the most suitable temperature range is 78-85 degrees, with younger children at the bottom of the range. This gives the child’s body enough room to adapt to the rising temperature inside the hotbox that the car has become.”

Scientists are calling this a breakthrough study that will save the lives of numerous kids.

“We want to avoid as many unnecessary deaths of our precious children as possible while also giving parents and guardians the freedom to live their lives without being anchored down for having a child with them” says Myers. “With the rising costs of childcare and how much gas the air conditioner uses, this solution is the best economical alternative.”

The researchers added that one can surpass the top temperature by 1 to 3 degrees by leaving behind a spray bottle with water that the child can use to cool themselves down.
