Madden Introduces New “Living With CTE” Post-Career Mode

In an announcement regarding the upcoming release of the newest installment of the Madden franchise, EA Head Developer Margaret Sher confirmed a groundbreaking feature will now be available. “For over twenty five years, EA studios has strived to bring the most accurate representation of the NFL to our customers. This new CTE gameplay experience allows Madden Fans to truly understand what it means to be a professional football player,” Sher stated in a press release.

“Living with CTE” as EA has dubbed it, will allow players to immerse themselves fully in the reality of living with a neurodegenerative disease. Players will be able to fully experience the slow loss of cognitive function, emotional instability, and depressed mindset, all directly caused by the many concussions accrued over the course of playing the game. Sher added, “It’s the most ambitious thing we’ve ever attempted with a Madden game. The sandbox style open world encourages the player to fully explore the isolation and pain caused by this condition. Not only in the character they control, but in all those around them. We’re even offering a new controller to use, and it’s impossible.”

Miles Choe, an avid fan of the Madden franchise, stated, “I think this’ll be dope as fuck. Some of the shit that EA puts in the games is dumb as hell, but this lets me know they’re actually listening to their loyal fans. All we’ve ever wanted is the most realistic experience possible. My uncle is a retired ball player and I told him about it about it. He started crying and asked where he was.
