Gamers Vocally Detest Amount Of Dogs Killed In ‘The Last Of Us 2’, Indifferent On Indigenous People Killed In ‘Uncharted’ Series.

Set in a violent, post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a pandemic, The Last Of Us 2 forces gamers to kill countless infected inhabitants and members of rebel military factions in the name of survival. Among the innumerable slaughtered are trained attack dogs made out of millions of tiny pixels and gamers are livid.

Notable Twitch streamer StanMunition has been one of the more prominent voices against this virtual animal abuse.

“It’s absurd! Like, how hard is it for the developers at Naughty Dog to make a game where we don’t have to kill doggos? They did it with the Uncharted games, why can’t they do it here?”

“Well yeah, that’s different,” remarked StanMunition when Flexx asked him to comment on the amount of black and brown people killed in the Uncharted games.

“I have a thing with games that involve committing violent acts against dogs: I don’t play them. I love Naughty Dog games, but this… this is too far. I had to take down all of my Last of Us poster and put up my Uncharted poster where the characters are absolutely decimating the indegnious dudes,” stated Electronic Gaming Weekly editor Alann Rosenblums.

Leader and spokesperson of the popular Black Gaming Collective, Cole Robinson, commented, “Nah, it's whatever for those dogs. They’re attack dogs and they’re German shepherds. Everybody knows German shepherds are racist, so it’s on sight for them. And to be honest, it was a nice change of pace considering what folks had to sit through during those six Uncharted games.”

FLEXX reached out to Naughty Dog developers who provided a comment:

“We don’t understand the issue here. We used real, expert all-dog focus groups and The Last of Us 2 was rated very favorably. They were also very favorable towards all of our Uncharted games. They’re experts for a reason.”
