Fool's Errand? We Asked 10 Men To Share Their Opinion On AOC Without Mentioning How Hot She Is
We took to the streets to get people’s thoughts on Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez’s policies and stances. Unfortunately, we ran into 10 men and eventually found one woman.
Q: How do you feel about AOC’s Green New Deal?
Caleb Smith: I love it. I think it’s great. The environment is like, so important. Hottest thing a woman can do is care about the environment.
Q: What do you think of AOC’s platform including Medicare for All?
John Brownstein: I voted for Hillary in 2016. I’m a proud dad of two feminist girls and three feminist granddaughters. However, I do think Ms. Cortez is a little too young to understand what she’s talking about. I don’t think she’s wrapped her mind around the intricacies of the healthcare system of this country. Good for her for trying though and pushing us. It’s adorable. She reminds me of my wife, whom I love.
Q: What are your thoughts on AOC’s stance on abolishing ICE?
Sam Houston: Totally onboard! RETWEET! Fuck ICE! AOC is like the opposite of Kellyanne Conway, smart, outspoken, hot, young, hot, so hot.
Q: Do you agree with Ms. Ocasio-Cortez that the U.S. should have a federal jobs guarantee?
Daniel King: Sure, and while we’re at it: maybe we can get unicorns and ponies a job guarantee too. I’m a lifelong Democrat and to me, AOC is completely unrealistic and crazy but I gotta hand it to her, I can’t help but listen. I’ve always had a thing for crazy. A little crazy can be fun if you know what I mean.
Q: What do you think of AOC running for president one day?
Charlie Mitchell: I would 100% vote for her. We need more women of color in charge. I only listen to women of color. I only date women of color. They are the future. And if AOC needs a First Man, I am available.
Q: What do you think of AOC’s video on tuition-free public college and the cancellation of student debt?
Grant O’Connor: I saw it. She did such a good job explaining all the intricacies of it. I just love smart women. Something about a smart woman is just so hot to me. I wish AOC could do all TED talks and news reports and press conferences and me. Just kidding.
Q: What do you think about Ms. Ocasio-Cortez describing Israel’s presence as an “occupation of Palestine”?
Jeff Hall: She said that? Damn, she gets finer by the second.
Q: How do you feel about AOC’s anti-poverty policy proposal?
Simon Jones: Yeah, she's hot for sure. She's got body and face. Mad hot. What was the question?
Q: What do you think of AOC’s stance that criminal justice reform should work to unravel the War on Drugs, reconsider mandatory minimum sentencing and embrace a growing private prison abolition movement that wants to reduce the mass incarceration rate?
Will Brown: I don’t agree with all that but she really knows how to fire me up. I imagine she gets a man’s heart racing every time she goes in on one of her delusional soliloquies.
Q: Do you think Modern Monetary Theory is an acceptable viewpoint to justify a marginal tax?
Greg Lancaster: Sure, yeah. Honestly, whatever AOC says. She is such a badass, a pioneer for women if you ask me. Especially Latinas. She’s a beacon of light for the Democratic party, an actual progressive, someone finally brave enough to stand up to both right-wing extremism and the Democratic establishment weighed down by moderate sensibilities and corporate interests, a firebrand fighting on behalf of the truly marginalized — working-class people, undocumented immigrants, and oppressed individuals all around the world.
That’s exactly why I have a poster of her next to my bed. Powerful women get me going! Nothing sexier than a strong, opinionated woman who doesn’t need a man. I’d marry her in a heartbeat!
Q: How do you think AOC has been doing so far?
Samantha Jenkins: Yeah, she's cool. I feel like she’s a little too radical and honestly people probably only listen to her because she’s hot so yeah, I guess she’s ok. Has she even gotten anything done?
