Childish Gambino Changes Name to Childish Gambinx, Still Refuses To Date Black Women

In the most recent effort to make sure he was doing the absolute minimum, singer-songwriter and actor Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, announced yesterday he will permanently change his artist name to Childish Gambinx while also announcing he will continue to absolutely not date black women.

“It’s a choice I’m making, or should I say makinx," said Glover in his Los Angeles bungalow as he changed into a dumber Hawaiian shirt.

The Community alum stated that he understood his standing among the black community was tenuous after it was revealed he would be producing a musical based on his song "This is America," a theatre experience the Atlantic has already called "wildly unnecessary." When asked how he thought the name change would help, Gambinx said this:

“My helicopter pilot said it would. His name’s Thistle, he said it before we did donuts over the LA zoo.”

Unfortunately for Glover, many people still saw his name change as a superficial gesture, stating it had “very little to do” with why he doesn't sit right with them.

In response to the lukewarm reaction to his name change, Femme Gambinx has changed his moniker once again.

“I don’t know what else to do,” Glover said, “I can’t add more black people to Atlanta, that would be unrealistic."
