Woman Gaslit Into Flossing By Straight White Male Dentist

CHICAGO, IL—A local woman’s gums were brutally assaulted this morning by a (male) dentist claiming “you need to floss more.” She has since urged other women in her circle not to go to this dentist under any circumstances.

Jessica Burns, 32, had gone for her first 6-month teeth cleaning in four years when she encountered a new hygienist we will refer to as John Doe for his privacy. Typically, Nicole had seen an elderly, black, female hygienist who commonly referred to the woman as “honey” and “baby.”

"With this new man, the vibes were off immediately,” she claimed, the iron flavor of blood still lingering in her mouth. "I cannot believe he hurt me in this way. I'm sure he does this to other women as well."

She had repeatedly asked for a new hygienist, but the office was unable to meet her demands due to understaffing. When the dentist claimed he was married to an Asian woman in hopes to earn Jessica’s respect, she immediately took to Twitter to share her story in a 15-part tweet that has been quote-tweeted by thousands responding with retro Pepe memes.

Jessica tweets from her now-private account: “My gums, my choice” accompanying a photo of her swollen gums post-cleaning procedure and a photo of her refusing to buy dental floss.

We have reached out to the dentist who performed the cleaning who has refused to comment because he had appointments all day.
