Heartwarming! Teacher Working Extra Job To Feed Her Kids Given Two More Minimum Wage Jobs

NEW YORK, NY—Tara Smith’s life changed drastically after a local news station realized that the 65-year-old elementary school teacher was working two jobs to support herself, her family, and even her students.

Just hours after her story aired, multiple corporations including Staples, Target, and Amazon offered to support the veteran teacher with not one, but two more minimum wage jobs.

“I saw that poor ass woman's story and was overwhelmed by her hollowed face and crooked back. I knew I had to do something,” said the Staples CEO and billionaire J. Alexander Douglas as he tried to figure out how to turn on his office printer. “I realized that someone who works that hard deserves another job which is why we immediately offered Ms. Smith a job as a full-time cashier in our Manhattan Union Square location, which is confirmed our most unbearable location in the country.”

New Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy, also shared Douglas’ sentiment (according to his publicity team).

“It’s hard to find such dedicated workers. Most of them quit or just die of exhaustion or COVID or whatever,” said Jassy on a video call from Mondays-and-Wednesdays yacht. “Smith was so hungry for work—and in general—that I decided to increase her hourly wage to $6.78 instead of the usual $6.75.”

Smith, who took a side job at her local supermarket has been overwhelmed by the generosity.

“People are just too kind. Between teaching, working at the supermarket, Staples, Home Depot, Lowes, and now Amazon, I’m almost making $65,000 a year,” she said while putting on a diaper so she doesn’t lose time or money on bathroom breaks.

“My students bring in apples and beg me to eat so I don’t pass out in class, but I remind them that hard work is how you get anywhere in life. Maybe one day, I can be CEO of Staples,” said Smith, unaware of the CEO’s plans to cut her healthcare.
