Hatfishing? Man Lures Hundreds Of Women Into Dates By Never Removing His Fitted

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—A dating scandal of the ages has emerged. JJ, 35, is accused of being a fraud and tricking hundreds of women into going on dates with him. His crime: hatfishing.

JJ is known for being mysterious, especially with his headwear. For every date, there’s a hat. A fitted for every occasion. Cynthia Jensen, 33, who dated JJ for three months, found out just how many hats he owns. After meeting him on the “Hey Daddy” website, Cynthia says that he was wearing a baseball cap at the park on their first date. For their second date at a nearby coffee shop, JJ showed up with a beret. On their third date at a fancy dinner, JJ wore a fedora. Cynthia didn’t get suspicious until things got more intimate. It was then that she discovered that he even wears a hat during intercourse—a navy blue Kangol.

After several intimate encounters, Cynthia was finally able to see JJ without his hat in the shower. That’s when she was faced with the hard truth, what she suspected all along: a busted hairline. She was shocked.

“I have no idea how this man was able to hide that five head under those hats," she said, sneaking out of his front door. "Not only is he sneaky, but he’s also some kind of magician and I hate magic.”

Cynthia decided to go public about JJ online after being fooled for so long. She posted on her social media page about him and found other women who had come in contact with him but didn’t get far enough to see The Man Beneath the Hat.

Social media went viral with women from all over sharing their own hatfishing stories, with the hashtag #hatgate generating thousands of personal accounts of hat abuse. Each of them vowing to make sure the next man they meet online has hatless photos before going on dates.
