Boyfriend Asks If Dry January Includes Beer

TAMPA, FL—Melissa Diaz was stunned today when her boyfriend of three years asked her point blank—dead in the eyes—if Dry January includes beer.

"Well... yeah, of course," stammered Diaz, 30, as she watched her man grab a Modelo from the fridge. "Beer is alcohol."

"Oh, well yeah... of course—I know that," replied her boyfriend, Carlos Hernandez, 32, quickly grabbing a Topo Chico instead, trying to make it look like he'd been going for that Topo all along. "I didn't mean it like that... I meant like, can we drink beer after January, like in February or whatever."

The couple was last seen watching Wednesday in perfect silence. It's been reported that Hernandez drank four (4) Topo Chicos that night.
