Adorable! This Unemployed 20-Something Thousands Of Dollars In Debt Believes They Are Interviewing Company Too

DALLAS, TX—Jordan Creek, a 25-year-old, unemployed, liberal arts graduate, has been interviewing for jobs for several months hoping to “find the right fit” for her next role for the next year and a half if she's lucky.

“I know that the interview process works both ways. I’m interviewing the company as much as they are interviewing me,” Jordan explains. She has applied to over 1000 jobs recently that all decided not to move forward with her application. “Sure, rejection is always tough, but those places probably weren’t my first choice either. It just gives me more opportunities to find the perfect job. This part-time private equity assistant position might be the career I was born for!"

We asked Jordan about how she prepares for an interview so that she can prove to the company that she not only is a great candidate but also is testing to see that they’re a great fit too.

“I have questions prepared for them, a little turning of the tables—so to speak. I always make sure to ask the interviewer ‘How would you describe the company culture?’ because I would never allow myself to be in an environment that I’m not excited to be in every day. I also ask: do you pay your employees regularly or semi-regularly? Or do you just not pay them sometimes? Either's fine, I just want to be prepared.”

Meanwhile, Jordan has been spending time at home, where she is generally found locked in her room. There, she can avoid her mom reminding her to do the dishes and her tween sister barging in to film nonconsensual TikToks.

“I also make sure that the budget they are looking at for my salary is within the range I’d like, because it’s actually disgusting how little some roles pay, and I know how much my experience and skills are worth,” Jordan assures us, right before leaving her room to ask her parents for Shake Shack money.

“The whole process is for sure tiring, but it’s nice to know that I am in charge of my future and have as much power as the company has. They have hundreds of applicants, but I’m also applying to hundreds of jobs too. Fair game. Tit for tat.”
