Girl's Favorite Caribbean Songs Are “Bom Bom” and “Bom Bom Bom”

While waiting for her Jamaican patty outside of The Jerk Hut, Victoria Rodriguez found herself bumping to the music blaring from inside. She quickly Shazam-ed it and was delighted to find that the name of the song was exactly what it sounded it like: “Bom Bom.”

Upon further digging into the store’s soundtrack, she was thrilled to find the simplest names, from “Bom Bom” to “Bom Tiss” and even the record-smashing “Bom Bom Bom.” Rodriguez added all of them to her Rooftop playlist, which turned out to be a carbon copy of Spotify’s “Summertime Vybez.” 

“I like it because the lyrics are just onomatopoeias,” explained Rodriguez. “Like what you’re hearing is exactly what they’re saying.”
