¡Fuera! Marvel Acquires Rights To Latino Supervillain El Chacal

HOLLYWOOD, CA—Marvel Studios has just announced the successful acquisition of Latino supervillain, El Chacal, from the Hispanic television network, Telemundo.

Fans may remember El Chacal as the lovable character on the hit variety television show, Sábado Gigante. However, this acquisition has been met with backlash from the Latino community. For some fans, their memories of the trumpet-wielding clown were not so fond.

“I was terrified of him as a child,” commented staff writer, Ramon Romero. “Every Saturday night, I feared for my life. I couldn’t sleep those nights due to nightmares of him kidnapping me and taking me away with his trumpet and his lion.”

As part of the deal with Marvel Studios, El Chacal is slated to play opposite Bad Bunny’s El Muerto in 2024. Due to an ongoing one-sided beef with Bad Bunny, Don Francisco, the host of Sábado Gigante, negotiated a scene in the upcoming film. In the film’s climax as Bad Bunny performs “Moscow Mule” to save the world, El Chacal appears playing his familiar trumpet tune followed by the infamous audience cheer: “FUERA.”

Francisco is elated with this new partnership with Marvel.

“This is a big step forward for Latino representation in the mainstream media," the Jewish-Chilean television personality said. "Longtime fans of Sábado Gigante will be happy to see such a familiar face on the big screen.”

In response to his comments, Latine fans everywhere remarked, “Wait, he speaks English?”
