Major Twist! Black Person Wanders Into Episode Of 'Succession'

NEW YORK, NY—Production for the HBO drama Succession was cut short after the police investigated a call about a suspicious man that was seen in the background of one of the shots.

“We were in a panic," said the cameraman, who noticed almost immediately. “Something’s not white—I mean right.”

The man turned out to be Patrice Hunter, 21, the show’s production assistant and recent graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Police investigators were able to speak with one of the executive producers.

“This is very unusual for us to stop production like this," said one of the show's reps from HBO. "Success Heads—as we call 'em—need their Succession so they can see what happens to the deliciously dysfunctional Roy family. We’re just happy we found out he was one of our own… you double-checked that he works for us right?”

One of the cast members, who asked to remain anonymous, spoke about the incident as the hairdresser combed her long red hair.

“When we found out it was just one of the new PAs, I was so relieved. I mean honestly: can we get some ID tags for these people? And by these people I mean—well, you know what I mean. Where is my script? I play Shiv!”

Hunter, however, remained apologetic in his response to the halting of production.

“I was sincerely sorry for stepping into the shot but what’s the worst thing that could happen, a black man gets to be on an HBO show? Man, why couldn't I get staffed on Insecure?”
