Tabby Cat In Open Relationship With Multiple Families In Neighborhood

MILFORD, PA—A tabby cat named Fluffy has been seen visiting multiple homes in the neighborhood—eating, sleeping, and playing wherever she pleases.

"I don’t want to commit myself to one household. Every home is different," explains Fluffy, as she licked her crotch. "The Johnsons at 8 Oak Drive give me three meals a day. They’re dependable and consistent, even though I usually leave the food out for the bugs. On the other hand, Becky at 12 Maple Street is so exciting. She has bird feeders, a koi pond, and a garden with catnip. Becky’s neighbor Tom has the softest couch, so that’s where I go for cuddle time. It’s easy with Tom. He doesn’t expect me to jump around and perform. We usually just watch bird videos and chill."

Gizmo, a local tuxedo cat, doesn’t think Fluffy’s relationship status is anything to get worked up about.

"Yeah, I’ve seen her going from house to house," says Gizmo, scratching the hell out of a leather sofa arm. "No judgment. It’s becoming more of the norm, especially around here. I didn’t think this was newsworthy, honestly."

"She's living her best life," adds Tabitha, another tabby and close friend of Fluffy. "We should all take a lesson from Fluffy and follow our hearts, wherever they lead us—as long as they lead us away from the Roomba."

Fluffy's first owners, the Smiths, say they were initially hurt by her decision to see other families.

"We thought we were the only ones who had a special bond with her," shares Tara Smith, 34. "But we realize now we were just one of many families she enjoys spending time with."

It didn’t take long for the Smiths to accept Fluffy's open relationship.

"We obviously still love her," emphatically states Megan Smith. "And we know that she'll always come back when she needs extra treats."

Although most neighborhood residents are aware of the situation, Fluffy’s actions have taken some by surprise.

"She’s what? We had no idea she was going to other houses," admits Todd Johnson. "We thought she was our cat! We need to define the relationship."
