This Haunted House Contains Your Immigrant Mom Looking At Your Report Card

Your mom is going to kill you.

At least that’s what the newest Haunted House attraction in San Diego, CA, wants you to think. The Haunted House is garnering attention as one of the most terrifying attractions the city has seen in decades.

FLEXX caught up with Teresa Lam, a local resident right as she exited the house. Lam, who went to the house with her friends thinking it would be a fun little scare, was clearly shaken by this experience — which she knew would haunt her for the rest of her life.

“I walked in and immediately saw a middle-aged woman in glasses with a towel wrapped around her head with her back to me. I didn’t know the woman, but I also knew — it was my mom.”

As Lam stood there, she contemplated leaving, but the woman slowly turned around and Lam froze in her tracks.

“She had my report card in her hand and gave me a look. You know the one. I haven’t been in school for years now—I’m a 39-year-old woman with two young children. Yet the sight sent chills down my spine.”

“I started sweating immediately, blabbing incoherently, and saying ‘I can do extra credit’ and ‘it’s just a progress report!’ over and over again, but I knew she knew I was lying.”

Lame had never known fear like this before. “I tried to leave but she stood up and I just started crying. She said nothing the whole time and I ended up just joining her at the kitchen table where my chemistry textbook was and read the entire thing from start to finish, while also practicing the piano.”

Lam had been to several haunted houses in the past, but none before had ever enrolled her in after school tutoring. “I did end up leaving the house with a Stanford acceptance letter, but was it worth it?”

Lam looked nervously over her shoulder. “Yes, yes it was.”
