The Beef Continues: Lana Del Rey Just Dropped A Scathing Diss Track About How Sometimes She Gets Sad
If the recent fiery Twitter feud between Azealia Banks and Lana Del Rey left you craving even more drama, then boy, do we have some good news for you—Lana just kicked things up a notch and dropped a scathing diss track about how sometimes she gets sad!
Now that’s an epic clapback!
The track, titled “I’m Cherry Dr. Pepper’s American Rose (So Kiss My Hair) [Til I’m Dead],” was posted on Lana’s Twitter just last night with Azealia Banks tagged, and Lana leaves no room for misinterpretation right from the first line (“Sunbathing by the Washington Monument / I use cocaine for lip gloss / so how come I cry denim dollar bills”)
Talk about shots fired! Has Lana crossed a line?
The track continues like that for nearly five minutes over hazy, dejected guitars and wailing synths, and includes stinging jabs like “My moon power fades without summertime crystals / that’s why I only fall in love at the used car dealership” to devastating haymakers like “He felt like venom on my ice cream sandwich / I drove Route 66 on a cotton candy machine.”
It may be too early to call a winner in this pop star showdown, but we have a tough time believing Banks can recover from something like this! We’ll be waiting with bated breath to see Azelia’s response!
