Chadwick Boseman Fans Tone Down Wakanda Greetings, Revert Back To James Brown Splits

Chadwick Boseman has grown tired of the Wakanda greetings and in response, his amazing fans have found a new way to celebrate their favorite celebrity. Supporters around the world have started paying homage to Boseman’s role as James Brown in Get On Up by greeting him with splits.

Los Angeles native Ricky Baker is proud to have started the new movement.

“I saw Mr. Boseman coming out of LA Fitness and I tried to stand out from all the other fans by showing him a James Brown split but then his security put me in a headlock real quick. I could hear my jean threads pulling apart.”

Fans have begun posting pictures of their ripped pants on Instagram while using “#SplitItForChadwick” hoping to be acknowledged by the star. Some have even flocked to local barbershops to get Brown’s famous Conk Pompadour hairstyle.

Local barbershop owner Willie Thomas IV has been overwhelmed by the influx of new business.

“I see all these young kids coming in here asking for a conk and I’m thinking the last person who came in here for that been dead for 30 years, we threw all that shit away. Matter of fact, I never watched Black Panther cause I lived it in the 70s and James Brown tried to kiss my wife in the 80s, I had to beat his ass.”

This wasn’t the first attempt from fans to find a new greeting. Weeks ago, a fan knocked over Boseman’s table at lunch when he tried to introduce himself with a Jackie Robinson slide. Still, Boseman found it preferable than the time someone tried to Thurgood Marshall him by explaining Brown v. Education.
