Damn! This Asian Thug Actually Has A Black Friend

Shockwaves were sent throughout the Vietnamese community of Westminster, CA, when local self-proclaimed “thug”, Steve Nguyen, was seen conversing with a black man who looked like he was a friend.

The two men were seen leaving a Robeks with fresh kale banana smoothies, chatting animatedly. Many witnesses were shocked to see the two hug it out as they parted ways to their respective cars.

“I’ve known Steve Nguyen since high school. He dropped out and now all he posts online are videos of him rapping and how much he loves Eminem. I’m shocked that despite all his appropriation of black culture, he actually has a black friend,” says former classmate Jade Le who was there to witness the event.

Nguyen, who raps under the name Hanoi Boi and is in a hip hop dance group that rehearses at UC Irvine, has never once spoken up for black issues nor acknowledged how much black culture has influenced his aesthetic. Members of the community were appalled to see him rock cornrows last year, but he has yet to comment on the Black Lives Matter movement.

“He uses the N-word constantly and every time I tell him to stop he says that he has a black friend who lets him use it. I didn’t believe him until today, and truthfully I still don’t really believe it,” says former Chili’s coworker Becky Tran.

“I can’t believe he actually has a black friend?,” Asians who do not call themselves thugs nor say the N-word were overheard saying. “He still can’t say it though, does he know that?”

When reached for comment, Nguyen said, “yeah I have a black friend, n****!” and punched our Flexx reporter in the face.

Unfortunately, since he has not learned that he is still not allowed to say the N-word, it looks like this friendship won’t last long.

“Oh, him? He’s alright, he borrowed a book from me once,” said black friend Carter Williams. “Wait, he says the N-word? Oh I will absolutely beat his ass.”
